Tiffy and Jessie were both rescued from New York City Animal Care and Control. They are as sweet as they are tiny, weighing in at 2.5 pounds each. It was clear how bonded they were and how much they loved to be in each other’s company. When Muddy Paws caught wind of these two being in the shelter, they transferred them immediately into their care.

Jessie and Tiffy were placed in a foster home to decompress and adjust to their new normal.

Less than a week after Jessies’ passing, Tiffy has started to decline with similar symptoms and had to be rushed to the emergency hospital. She needs around the clock care to fight pneumonia, including constant oxygen, IV fluids and antibiotics.

Although Tiffy is not out of the woods yet, the good news is she is responding to treatment and has been stabilized.

Tiffy’s life has been turned upside down in a short matter of time. We can’t change that Tiffy lost her best friend, but we can make sure she has the best shot at returning home to her loving foster family.
