Oso arrived in extreme distress to the Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital after ingesting a foreign object. He had been extremely lethargic, vomiting, and unable to eat or drink for several days.

In order to receive the extensive and expensive medical care that he desperately needed, Forgotten Dogs agreed to take on his case.

Oso immediately underwent bloodwork, x-rays, and an ultrasound, in addition to a feeding tube placement. The foreign body was confirmed to be the cause of his illness and has led to a bowel obstruction. Oso underwent emergency surgery and surgeons were able to remove the item (a pair of underwear) successfully from his stomach.

Oso went home after recovering from the surgery, but within a few days he started showing signs of another potential blockage. Oso was immediately rushed back to the emergency vet as he was clearly suffering from post-surgery complications.
