Upon arrival, Blueberry Pancake tested positive for heartworms. He was placed in a foster home while he underwent the long treatment process. After several months, his foster reported that he had become lame on his right hind leg while standing and was bunny hopping when he walked.

He was brought in for a thorough medical exam where he had to be sedated, due to how painful his leg was. Even while he was sedated, he refused let go of his stuffie. It was determined with x-rays that he has a tear in his right cranial cruciate ligament. Blueberry requires immediate surgery in order to find his happily ever after, that he so desperately deserves.
