Rescue
Benny was found as a stray in Shelby Park in East Nashville. He unfortunately was not microchipped, but the founder took him home while they searched for his owner. Within 24 hours, Benny became ill. His symptoms included extreme lethargy, nonstop vomiting and diarrhea. He was taken to an emergency clinic where he would have been euthanized if not for One Tail at a Time agreeing to rescue him.
Vet Visit
When Benny arrived at the emergency clinic he could barely move and has since tested positive for parvovirus. This virus is commonly fatal, especially in younger dogs. He will require days of around the clock care with multiple treatments including bloodwork, IV fluids and antibiotics, and a feeding tube.
Benny has managed to maintain his extremely kind demeanor throughout the entirety of this scary experience. With his whole life ahead of him, we can’t wait to see him healthy.
