For some, leaving their homes isn’t an option, making it difficult or impossible to get their pets the care they need. Our partner, The Bond Between, is stepping in to ensure pets remain safe, healthy, and cared for during this time of instability. Truffle wound up in a shelter with a benign mass and a urinary tract infection. As soon as she was rescued, she underwent surgery to have the mass removed and began antibiotics to treat the UTI.

Peaches was found as a stray with her femur broken in two places, leaving a piece of bone free-floating between the breaks and causing her constant, severe pain. She needs surgery to repair her broken leg.

Morel is suffering from heartworm disease and will require ongoing injections, medication, and X-rays over the next several months to fully recover.

Zoey was suffering from large, painful open wounds on her abdomen caused by ruptured mammary tumors. She required diagnostic imaging that ruled out cancer, followed by surgery to remove the masses and prevent infection.

Opal developed a painful (and embarrassing) rectal prolapse, requiring multiple surgeries to address the condition. Despite initial interventions, her prolapse recurred, and she now requires a specialized procedure called a colopexy to prevent future complications.

Silk was diagnosed with a painful abnormality in her right front leg that caused significant lameness and muscle loss. To prevent ongoing pain and give her the best quality of life, her leg was amputated.

Gilligan was found as a stray who is positive for heartworm disease. He also has an uncomfortable benign mass on his toe. He needs a toe amputation and months of ongoing care to rid him of heartworms.

Archie is suffering from a ureteral prolapse and a prior shoulder injury. He requires surgical intervention to correct the prolapse, along with ongoing care to manage discomfort related to his old injury.

The "Q" puppies tested positive for parvovirus at just nine weeks old and required immediate hospitalization, medications, and supportive care to survive. Thankfully, they are doing very well but will remain under close observation for several days.

Nyla came from a severe hoarding situation where dozens of dogs were living in unsafe conditions. She needs significant medical care, including treatment for severe dental disease and surgery to correct a cherry eye.

Holly was a stray with two fractures in her front leg. She will need ongoing bandage changes, X-rays, and checkups to ensure she’s healing well.

Casper was found as a stray suffering from heartworm disease and will require ongoing injections, medication, and X-rays over the next several months to fully recover.

Penelope was removed from her home after being starved and left to die. She needs emergency hospitalization, blood transfusions, and ongoing care to survive.

This is Pinto. She was in foster when she began coughing and struggling to breathe. She was rushed to the ER, where vets found she had severe pneumonia. Without emergency hospitalization and oxygen support, she would have suffocated.

This beautiful blockhead managed to eat an entire bottle of ibuprofen while his owner wasn’t looking. Bubba is now hospitalized and receiving supportive care for his liver to ensure a full recovery.

Chloe has been suffering from occasional seizures. In addition to ongoing seizure medication and management, Chloe needed a benign mass removed.
