Rescue
Lilly was found wandering the streets with a massive growth on her stomach. A good Samaritan spotted her and brought her home, hoping they could help. It was clear she had been severely neglected for a long timeāher toenails were so overgrown they had begun to curl around her feet. Between the weight of the mass and the condition of her nails, walking was incredibly painful and difficult for her.
After several days, the mass worsened and began to show advanced signs of infection. Realizing her condition was beyond what they could manage, the Good Samaritan contacted AMA, who immediately took her in to ensure she received the urgent care she needed.
Upon intake, it became clear the mass was even worse than anyone had realized. It had ruptured, leaving an open, infected wound on her abdomen. Lilly was rushed to the vet.

Vet Visit
Lilly was taken to AMAās primary vet for diagnostics and bloodwork. The moment they examined her, it was clear she needed emergency surgery.
She will be transferred to a specialist to undergo surgery as soon as possible to remove the masses from her abdomen and have them biopsied. Her rescuers have shared that, despite being extremely timid, she loves being held and pet softlyāa real testament to her kind disposition, especially given how much pain sheās in.
