This is Mama Morel. She came from an Alabama shelter with her tiny babies, who had been living outside. She is suffering from heartworm disease and will require ongoing injections, medication, and X-rays over the next several months to fully recover. Though she was very timid at first, Mama Morel has begun to loosen up in foster care and is showing her gentle, goofy personality.
