This is Freyja. From the moment she arrived at the shelter, it was clear something wasn’t right. She was missing patches of fur and drinking excessive amounts of water. Tests confirmed that she has a hormonal disorder called Cushing’s Disease. If left untreated, it can lead to serious health risks like blood clots, kidney failure, and even death. She needs daily medication and bi-annual vet check ups, including bloodwork, for the rest of her life to manage her symptoms.
