This is Stephanie. She came to the shelter with a lot of skin issues, including a staph infection and a flea infestation. She has a limp that’s due to some nasty foxtails. She needs medical support to help her feel like herself again.

Shelter

When Stephanie came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center, she had a bad limp, skin issues and evident ear infections. But, she also had a winning smile and loving personality!

Freedom Ride

Stephanie was rescued by Deity Animal Rescue and did great on her first car ride to freedom!

Vet Visit

During her vet visit, it was discovered that her limp wasn’t due to any bone breaks or muscle problems, it was due to nasty foxtails that were lodged in her paw. Her skin problems were also diagnosed as a staph infection, which is caused by bacteria, and flea dermatitis. She can be fixed up with antibiotics and medicated baths.

Foster

It took her a few days after her vet visit to relax and understand she was safe, but she’s come around and is soaking up every ounce of love in her foster home. Stephanie had the foxtails removed from her paw and will be treated with ongoing medicated baths for her staph infection and flea infestation.
