Viola was found as a stray and brought directly to Furkids Shelter and Rescue. It was immediately clear that she required medical attention. She was extremely lethargic, twitching, and potentially having a seizure.
Viola underwent extensive testing at multiple emergency vets to determine the cause of her symptoms, all of which were inconclusive. As a last resort, an MRI and spinal tap were performed which confirmed she is fighting meningitis, a disease which causes inflammation of the tissue surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Viola now requires around the clock care to fight this deadly infection.
