Peanut

Peanut

Peanut was officially adopted on March 3, 2022, and it’s safe to say he is absolutely loved by his forever family, and he’s living his best life. Because so many of you bought our 15/10 dog treat, we were able to sponsor his care. We will continue to cover any and all medical bills related to his many medical issues, the original reason he was unlikely to make it out of the shelter. You can read his entire journey below.

Shelter

Peanut has been living in a shelter for the past year, and the stress of his situation has led to him being very underweight. When our rescue partner Deity found him we discovered he had developed large calluses on his behind, and has several dental issues that need to be addressed. The fact that he’s still alive is a testament to how much the shelter staff believed in him.

Freedom Ride

When it was time for his freedom ride, Peanut was a bit nervous getting in the car and never fully settled onto the seat. He wasn’t sure where he was off to, but he was happy to be out of the shelter and along for the ride.

Vet Checkup

The vet confirmed what we thought about Peanut’s various medical issues. He has several worn and fractured teeth that will require cleaning and extractions. His skin issues will not need treatment other than a healthy diet and lifestyle. Our partner JustFoodForDogs has generously set Peanut up with a meal plan to help with his skin issues and to reach a healthy weight goal.

Foster

Peanut is doing so well in his foster home. He particularly enjoys snuggling on the couch with blankets, and tried his very first scallop and filet mignon. Absolutely loved it and has even put on a bit of weight. Our favorite piece of news is that this shy boy has started to happily wag his tail.
