Shelter

Lunchable arrived at Chicago Animal Care & Control as one very sick little baby. She was surrendered as an owner requested euthanasia suffering from bloody diarrhea, and not having eaten for 3 days. She was very depressed and lethargic. During her rescue ride she was very subdued and quiet. She clearly wasn’t feeling well, so off to the vet she went.

Vet Visit

Lunchable tested immediately positive for parvo, which is a deadly disease in puppies. She remained subdued for the first two days of her hospitalization. On the third day, she began eating a little bit and even wagging her tail for the doctors! By day four, she was ready to have her feeding tube removed and was eating reliably on her own while gaining strength and starting to show her happy puppy side.

Foster

Lunchable (aka Lunchy!) loves sunbathing, napping and causing a small amount of mayhem in her foster home while she regains her strength and begins her vaccinations. She has lots of puppy energy, but is also a great sleeper! She is doing well on leash and loves outside walks.
