Rescue
Katsu first came to Wags and Walks with his littermates after they were surrendered to the Palmdale Animal Shelter. He was adopted in November of 2021. Unfortunately, Katsu was returned to the rescue when his family could no longer care for him in April of 2023.
When Katsu was brought back to the rescue, he was occasionally limping. His limp would become more pronounced when he would play, jump, or walk for an extended period of time.

Vet Visit
Katsu has been seen by multiple orthopedic surgeons and underwent several rounds of x-rays to determine the cause of his mobility issues. He has been diagnosed with severe elbow incongruity. Katsu requires surgery to correct the misaligned joints in his leg.
His condition will only get worse and more painful over time, if left untreated. Katsu is a young, energetic dog who deserves the chance to run and play without pain.
