Ghouliet was a stray pup who was clearly struggling to walk. She wasn’t putting any weight on her back left leg. Thankfully, Austin Pets Alive! stepped in to help.

Vet Visit

 During her vet visit, this sweet husky was diagnosed with fractured left carpal bones, as well as heartworm. Ghouliet’s leg needed immediate attention, so she underwent successful surgery and is now recovering comfortably in a foster home. She should be able to make a full recovery and have complete range of motion. Once her leg is all healed up, she’ll start a heartworm regimen to clear out her heart.

“She’s a typical Husky full of personality and energy! She is a very sweet girl and loves everyone she meets,” said staff at APA!

“She’s all husky all the time. Her leg doesn’t slow her down at all… we’re convinced she may be part kangaroo. She’s a very sweet lady who has very much charmed us!” noted her foster parent.
