Eva’s journey began in the shelter with Wags and Walks when her mother was rescued while still pregnant. You may remember Mercedes and her puppies – Eva was one of them! Mercedes got the help she needed and all of her puppies were adopted into loving homes. Once Eva landed into her new home things were going smoothly. When she took a trip back to the clinic for a spay procedure, vets detected a substantial heart murmur.
Due to the intensity of the murmur, she was referred to a cardiologist and was diagnosed with severe pulmonic stenosis that would need surgery to correct. She’s delt with these symptoms bravely, and with the same sweet disposition she’s always had. She’s been placed on a strict med regimen leading up to her balloon valvuloplasty to address the issue.
Because of the nature and cost of this procedure her family may unfortunately have to make the difficult decision to surrender Eva if they’re unable to find support.
We would never want to see a dog separated from their loving family due to a lack of resources. With your help we can make sure Eva gets the lifesaving care she needs and stays in her forever home – right where she belongs.
