Shelter
Cinnamon was living her normal life at home when she began to struggle with her health. Over the course of a few days, her symptoms began to escalate quickly and aggressively. She battled waves of lethargy, a huge loss of appetite, and vomiting. Her condition progressed to be too much for her previous owners to provide care for her, and the difficult decision was made to surrender her to give her the best chance of recovery.

Vet Visit
After arriving at the shelter, Cinnamon was rushed to the vet. Medical staff ran several tests and found Cinnamon was positive for parvovirus. Because of her quick decline, it was decided that she would be hospitalized immediately to receive life-saving supportive care. She needed many fluids, medications, and an NG tube to keep her breathing correctly. Through this entire scary ordeal, medical staff has been amazed at her ability to keep pushing through. She reportedly has kept the same wonderful disposition – and her tail always wagging. Without intervention, Cinnamon would not be able to beat parvovirus all on her own. She’s continuing treatment until she’s fully recovered, and we’ll keep everyone pupdated on her progress.
