This special girl came to Wags & Walks in Nashville after she was surrendered by a French Bulldog breeder. After seeing her photos, it was clear that she had serious neurological issues. One of her eyes is extremely underdeveloped and the second never developed at all so she is completely blind. She also presumably has Hydrocephalus, a neurological disorder caused by a buildup of fluid in the ventricles which puts harmful pressure on the brain’s tissues. As a result, she struggles to walk and is only able to get a few steps at a time without losing her balance.

Bug has been to a few vets to determine the best course of action and has started medication to help curb her clinical signs. As a result, Bug has become more mobile and has begun to show her silly, adorable puppy personality. She has a zest for life that is contagious and a strong chance for quality of life so the next step for this little girl is a MRI. This will show us what is actually going on in her brain and how we can give Bug the best life she can have.
