Shelter
Bingo was brought to the shelter as a stray. Animal control noted he was easy to catch because he struggled to put weight on his back leg.
From the shelter staff: “B-I-N-G-O is his name-o! Bingo can only be described as the life of the party. He loves kissing faces and playing with other dogs. Bingo is obsessed with toys, social interaction and beds that are made for dogs 30lbs lighter than he is!”

Vet Visit
After a thorough checkup from the vet, Bingo was diagnosed with a severe hip injury that needs surgical correction. He has severely limited mobility because of this injury and without correction, he will continue to face those challenges. “He can’t run as far or as fast he wants and it’s driving him bonkers. It’s so heartbreaking to see such a social boy be so limited,” said shelter staff.
He’s scheduled for an orthopedic surgery called FHO (Femoral Head Osteotomy), which will put him back on all fours in 1-3 weeks.

Foster
Once Bingo gets his surgery, he’ll stay in medical boarding for a few days to control for pain and provide him a quiet environment to recoup. Then he’ll move to a foster home while he does physical therapy to help him gain back lost muscle.
