Rescue
Bear was surrendered after his family could no longer care for his medical needs. After just a few days in his home, he had become lethargic, refused to eat, and had been vomiting for several days.

Vet Visit
When Bear arrived at the emergency hospital, he was extremely weak and was unable to move. Initial testing revealed that he is anemic, has a very low white blood cell count, unstable blood pressure, and dangerously low glucose levels. Bear requires immediate critical care in order to save his life – including IV fluids, medication, syringe feeding, and oxygen to assist with breathing.
Although it is unclear what is causing such a severe infection inside of Bear’s little body, it is apparent to everyone caring for him that he is not going to give up.
